How prayer times are calculated in Albania

Pages for Albania use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+1, UTC+2 in summer). In the capital Tirana, Fajr is about 2:58 AM and Maghrib 8:17 PM around 21 June, while around 21 December Fajr comes at 5:23 AM and Maghrib at 4:14 PM. Daylight there ranges from 9 h 11 min to 15 h 10 min.

Our cities in Albania stretch from Durrës in the west to Korçë in the east, and from Kukës in the north to Sarandë in the south. With such a distance, the sun reaches its zenith in Korçë about 5 minutes before Durrës, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also varies between north and south, especially in summer and winter, so the timetable of Tirana is no substitute for that of your own city.

Ramadan in Albania

During Ramadan 1448 AH (expected on 8 February 2027), the fast in Tirana lasts roughly 11 h 54 min at the start of the month and 13 h 09 min at the end, with imsak at 5:01 AM and iftar at 5:05 PM on the first day. These times change from one city to another, so open your city’s page for its exact Ramadan timetable.

To reach your city quickly, type its name in the search box at the top of the page, or go through the regions above. On every page you will find today’s times with a countdown, a monthly timetable ready to print and links to nearby cities.
