Prayer times by region in the Philippines

Our pages in the Philippines are organised in 17 regions. Open your region, then your city: every page has its own coordinates, which is why the times change by a few minutes between cities, from east to west and from north to south.

How prayer times are calculated in the Philippines

Pages for Philippines use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+8). In the capital Manila, Fajr is about 4:08 AM and Maghrib 6:28 PM around 21 June, whereas around 21 December Fajr comes at 4:59 AM and Maghrib at 5:32 PM. Daylight there ranges from 11 h 16 min to 13 h.

Our cities in the Philippines stretch from Jose Rizal in the west to Manay in the east, and from Sanchez-Mira in the north to Sitangkai in the south. Because of this spread, the sun reaches its zenith in Manay about 36 minutes before Jose Rizal, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also differs between north and south, most of all in summer and winter, so the timetable of Manila is no substitute for that of your own city.
