Our pages in Iran are organised in 31 regions. Open your region, then your city: every page has its own coordinates, which is why the times change by a few minutes from one place to the next, east to west and north to south.

How prayer times are calculated in Iran

Times for Iran use the Institute of Geophysics, University of Tehran method: Fajr when the sun is 17.7° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 14° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+3:30). In the capital Tehran, Fajr is about 3:02 AM and Maghrib 7:45 PM around 21 June, while around 21 December Fajr comes at 5:40 AM and Maghrib at 5:15 PM. Daylight there ranges from 9 h 44 min to 14 h 35 min.

Our cities in Iran stretch from Seyah Cheshmeh in the west to Jālq in the east, and from Pārsābād in the north to Chabahar in the south. With such a distance, the sun reaches its zenith in Jālq about 73 minutes before Seyah Cheshmeh, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also differs between north and south, especially in summer and winter, so the timetable of Tehran is no substitute for that of your own city.
