By using Manarat Al-Islam you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully; they explain the nature of the service and the limits of our responsibility.

The service

The site provides prayer times, the Qibla direction and Ramadan estimates for cities around the world, calculated astronomically from the coordinates of each city with recognised calculation methods. These times are accurate scientific estimates in most cases, but they do not replace the official calendar of the religious authorities of your country or the adhan of your local mosque.

Accuracy

The times shown may differ from the local adhan by a minute or more, for reasons such as minutes of precaution added by authorities, a different calculation method, an error in the coordinates of a place, the altitude, or the clock settings of your device. Please take precautions for time-critical prayers such as Fajr and Maghrib, and check the official calendar in Ramadan. The site cannot be held responsible for any harm resulting from exclusive reliance on these times.

Ramadan and religious dates

Dates for the start of Ramadan and the Eids are astronomical estimates; what counts is the announcement of the competent authorities of each country after the sighting of the crescent.

Geographic data and copyright

Place names and coordinates come from GeoNames (CC BY 4.0) and the live prayer times from the AlAdhan service. The design, texts and articles of the site belong to Manarat Al-Islam; quoting them for non-commercial purposes is allowed with a link to the source page.

Acceptable use

Do not use the site in a way that harms the service or other visitors, such as sending very large numbers of automated requests, attempting to break into the site, or copying its content wholesale. Mosques, schools and associations may display the pages on their screens or print and distribute the monthly timetables free of charge, keeping the name of the site.
