Prayer times by region in Armenia
Our pages in Armenia are organised in 11 regions. Choose your region, then your city: every page has its own coordinates, so the times differ by a few minutes from one place to the next, east to west and north to south.
How prayer times are calculated in Armenia
Times for Armenia use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+4). In the capital Yerevan, Fajr is around 3:28 AM and Maghrib 8:35 PM around 21 June, whereas around 21 December Fajr comes at 6:43 AM and Maghrib at 5:39 PM. Daylight there ranges from 9 h 19 min to 15 h 02 min.
Our cities in Armenia stretch from Gyumri in the west to Kapan in the east, and from Ijevan in the north to Kapan in the south. With such a distance, the sun reaches its zenith in Kapan about 10 minutes before Gyumri, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also varies between north and south, most of all in summer and winter, so the timetable of Yerevan cannot replace that of your own city.
