How prayer times are calculated in Azerbaijan

Pages for Azerbaijan use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+4). In the capital Baku, Fajr is about 3:05 AM and Maghrib 8:14 PM around 21 June, while around 21 December Fajr comes at 6:21 AM and Maghrib at 5:17 PM. Daylight there ranges from 9 h 17 min to 15 h 03 min.

Our cities in Azerbaijan stretch from Qazax in the west to Mǝrdǝkan in the east, and from Balakǝn in the north to Astara in the south. Because of this spread, the sun reaches its zenith in Mǝrdǝkan about 19 minutes before Qazax, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also varies between north and south, most of all in summer and winter, so the timetable of Baku is no substitute for that of your own city.

Ramadan in Azerbaijan

During Ramadan 1448 AH (expected on 8 February 2027), the fast in Baku lasts roughly 11 h 56 min at the start of the month and 13 h 08 min at the end, with imsak at 6:01 AM and iftar at 6:07 PM on the first day. Times differ from one city to another, so open your city’s page for its exact Ramadan timetable.

To find your city quickly, type its name in the search box at the top of the page, or browse the regions above. On every page you will find today’s times with a countdown, a monthly timetable ready to print and links to nearby cities.
