How prayer times are calculated in Croatia
Times for Croatia use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+1, UTC+2 in summer). In the capital Zagreb, Fajr is about 2:37 AM and Maghrib 8:50 PM around 21 June, while around 21 December Fajr comes at 5:45 AM and Maghrib at 4:14 PM. Daylight there ranges from 8 h 40 min to 15 h 44 min.
Our cities in Croatia stretch from Pula in the west to Vukovar in the east, and from Čakovec in the north to Dubrovnik in the south. Because of this spread, the sun reaches its zenith in Vukovar about 21 minutes before Pula, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also varies between north and south, most of all in summer and winter, so the timetable of Zagreb is no substitute for that of your own city.
