Prayer times by region in Cyprus

Our pages in Cyprus are organised in 6 regions. Open your region, then your city: each page has its own coordinates, which is why the times change by a few minutes between cities, from east to west and north to south.

How prayer times are calculated in Cyprus

Times for Cyprus use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in the local time of each city (UTC+2, UTC+3 in summer). In the capital Nicosia, Fajr is about 3:45 AM and Maghrib 8:04 PM around 21 June, whereas around 21 December Fajr comes at 5:20 AM and Maghrib at 4:38 PM. Daylight there ranges from 9 h 47 min to 14 h 32 min.

Our cities in Cyprus stretch from Paphos in the west to Protaras in the east, and from Kyrenia in the north to Limassol in the south. With such a distance, the sun reaches its zenith in Protaras about 7 minutes before Paphos, which is one reason the country uses several time zones. Day length also differs between north and south, especially in summer and winter, so the timetable of Nicosia cannot replace that of your own city.
