Prayer times by region in Greece

Our pages in Greece are organised in 14 regions. Open your region, then your city: every page has its own coordinates, which is why the times change by a few minutes between cities, from east to west and from north to south.

How prayer times are calculated in Greece

Pages for Greece use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+2, UTC+3 in summer). In the capital Athens, Fajr is around 4:07 AM and Maghrib 8:51 PM around 21 June, while around 21 December Fajr comes at 6:02 AM and Maghrib at 5:09 PM. Daylight there ranges from 9 h 32 min to 14 h 48 min.

Our cities in Greece stretch from Corfu in the west to Rhodes in the east, and from Orestiáda in the north to Heraklion in the south. With such a distance, the sun reaches its zenith in Rhodes about 33 minutes before Corfu, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also varies between north and south, most of all in summer and winter, so the timetable of Athens cannot replace that of your own city.
