Prayer times by region in Morocco

Our pages in Morocco are organised in 11 regions. Choose your region, then your city: each page has its own coordinates, so the times differ by a few minutes from one place to the next, from east to west and north to south.

How prayer times are calculated in Morocco

Times for Morocco use the Moroccan Ministry of Habous and Islamic Affairs method: Fajr when the sun is 19° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC). In the capital Rabat, Fajr is about 3:25 AM and Maghrib 7:47 PM around 21 June, whereas around 21 December Fajr comes at 5:54 AM and Maghrib at 5:27 PM. Daylight there ranges from 9 h 53 min to 14 h 25 min.

Our cities in Morocco stretch from Smara in the west to Oujda in the east, and from Fnidek in the north to Smara in the south. With such a distance, the sun reaches its zenith in Oujda about 39 minutes before Smara, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also varies between north and south, especially in summer and winter, so the timetable of Rabat cannot replace that of your own city.
