Prayer times by region in Peru

Our pages in Peru are organised in 26 regions. Choose your region, then your city: each page has its own coordinates, so the times differ by a few minutes from one place to the next, from east to west and north to south.

How prayer times are calculated in Peru

Times for Peru use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC−5). In the capital Lima, Fajr is around 4:22 AM and Maghrib 6:31 PM around 21 December, whereas around 21 June Fajr comes at 5:12 AM and Maghrib at 5:52 PM. Daylight there ranges from 11 h 25 min to 12 h 50 min.

Our cities in Peru stretch from Talara in the west to Puerto Maldonado in the east, and from Zarumilla in the north to Tacna in the south. Because of this spread, the sun reaches its zenith in Puerto Maldonado about 48 minutes before Talara, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also varies between north and south, especially in summer and winter, so the timetable of Lima cannot replace that of your own city.
