How prayer times are calculated in Slovakia

Times for Slovakia use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+1, UTC+2 in summer). In the capital Bratislava, Fajr is about 2:29 AM and Maghrib 8:55 PM around 21 June, whereas around 21 December Fajr comes at 5:45 AM and Maghrib at 4:00 PM. Daylight there ranges from 8 h 21 min to 16 h 04 min.

Our cities in Slovakia stretch from Devínska Nová Ves in the west to Snina in the east, and from Čadca in the north to Komárno in the south. Because of this spread, the sun reaches its zenith in Snina about 21 minutes before Devínska Nová Ves, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also differs between north and south, especially in summer and winter, so the timetable of Bratislava is no substitute for that of your own city.

Ramadan in Slovakia

During Ramadan 1448 AH (expected around 8 February 2027), the fast in Bratislava lasts about 11 h 37 min at the start of the month and 13 h 13 min at the end, with imsak at 5:14 AM and iftar at 5:02 PM on the first day. These times change from one city to another, so open your city’s page for its exact Ramadan timetable.

To find your city quickly, type its name in the search box at the top of the page, or go through the regions above. On every page you will find today’s times with a countdown, a monthly timetable you can print and links to nearby cities.
