Prayer times by region in Syria

Our pages in Syria are organised in 14 regions. Open your region, then your city: each page has its own coordinates, which is why the times change by a few minutes from one place to the next, east to west and north to south.

How prayer times are calculated in Syria

Pages for Syria use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+3). In the capital Damascus, Fajr is around 3:42 AM and Maghrib 7:48 PM around 21 June, while around 21 December Fajr comes at 6:06 AM and Maghrib at 5:31 PM. Daylight there ranges from 9 h 56 min to 14 h 23 min.

Our cities in Syria stretch from Latakia in the west to Al Mālikīyah in the east, and from Al Mālikīyah in the north to Daraa in the south. Because of this spread, the sun reaches its zenith in Al Mālikīyah about 25 minutes before Latakia, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also differs between north and south, most of all in summer and winter, so the timetable of Damascus cannot replace that of your own city.
