Prayer times by region in Timor-Leste

Our pages in Timor-Leste are organised in 13 regions. Open your region, then your city: each page has its own coordinates, which is why the times change by a few minutes between cities, from east to west and north to south.

How prayer times are calculated in Timor-Leste

Pages for Timor-Leste use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+9). In the capital Dili, Fajr is around 5:00 AM and Maghrib 6:54 PM around 21 December, while around 21 June Fajr comes at 5:35 AM and Maghrib at 6:28 PM. Daylight there ranges from 11 h 38 min to 12 h 38 min.

Our cities in Timor-Leste stretch from Pante Makasar in the west to Lospalos in the east, and from Baucau in the north to Suai in the south. Because of this spread, the sun reaches its zenith in Lospalos about 10 minutes before Pante Makasar, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also differs between north and south, especially in summer and winter, so the timetable of Dili cannot replace that of your own city.
