Prayer times by region in Zimbabwe
Our pages in Zimbabwe are organised in 10 regions. Open your region, then your city: each page has its own coordinates, so the times differ by a few minutes from one place to the next, east to west and from north to south.
How prayer times are calculated in Zimbabwe
Times for Zimbabwe use the Muslim World League method: Fajr when the sun is 18° below the horizon and Isha when the sun is 17° below the horizon. Times are shown in local time (UTC+2). In the capital Harare, Fajr is about 3:55 AM and Maghrib 6:30 PM around 21 December, whereas around 21 June Fajr comes at 5:08 AM and Maghrib at 5:29 PM. Daylight there ranges from 11 h 04 min to 13 h 12 min.
Our cities in Zimbabwe stretch from Victoria Falls in the west to Mutare in the east, and from Kariba in the north to Beitbridge in the south. With such a distance, the sun reaches its zenith in Mutare about 27 minutes before Victoria Falls, even though the clock is the same everywhere. Day length also varies between north and south, most of all in summer and winter, so the timetable of Harare cannot replace that of your own city.
